The steam vent and hose channel hot steam and air from the dryer to the exterior so the appliance won’t overheat and cause fire. Has connectors on each end of the hose to attach to the steam outlet on the dryer and the vent or drain opening.

Correct part but didn't fit
It appeared to be correct and looked identical to the old one, but wouldn't clip into the opening on the dryer. I took the hose off and swapped onto the old mount, which made it expensive as I could have bought a cheaper hose. Nice quality hose though.

Came promptly, correct item. Half the price of same item on a rival site. Quite a struggle to get it into my old machine but that is not Ransom's fault!
