Fixed my noisy dryer

My Hoover condenser dryer was making a horrible screeching noise. I wanted to diagnose the problem myself so I did some internet research but I was swayed by opinion instead of gathering all the facts - I went down the wrong route and replaced the rear bearing and jockey wheels (belt tensioner). That didn’t fix the noise. The bit that I hadn’t noticed (annoyingly) was that the noise continued when the drum stopped and switched direction. That meant it couldn’t be the motor, fans, bearings or belt. The only thing moving when the drum stops, so the only place the noise can be coming from, is the pump. Bought this item, stripped the machine and replaced the pump - works perfectly and silently. Took about 90 minutes and involved a complete stripdown of the machine, drum out and everything, but it wasn’t hard.
