Our tumble drier wouldn't switch on, so I found the service manual online and followed the troubleshooting guide. It suggested replacing this part, which seemed like quite a gamble given the cost, but it was still less than a third the cost of a new machine, so I took the risk. I'm glad I did, as the drier sprang back into life once I'd swapped it out, so I've saved about £400 vs. the cost of replacing the whole thing. Fitting the new board was easy, but removing the old one was a pain. A couple of connectors were a real struggle to remove, but persistent wiggling did the job in the end!
