Pumps the collected water up to the container or drain.
Tick the symptoms your appliance is showing. We’ll tell you how confident we are this part is the fix.
Error codes are model dependent, so the same brand may have more than one listed.
| Code | Brand | What it means | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| F11 | Ariston | Means the machine cannot detect the condensation pump, preventing water from being drained and often stopping the dryer after a few minutes. It is usually caused by a no pump connection or an open circuit pump fault. | High |
| F5 | Ariston | Means a drainage fault, often caused by lint buildup. It is usually caused by a blocked filter, an obstructed hose, or a malfunctioning drain pump. | High |
| H20 | Ariston | Means the machine cannot empty water from its reservoir, or the sensor detects a full tank when it is empty, causing the unit to stop mid-cycle. It is usually caused by a blocked pump, a dirty condenser unit, or a broken pump impeller. | High |
| F11 | Hotpoint | Means a pump circuit fault, where the pump is disconnected, blocked, or faulty and water is not pumping out. It is usually caused by an open circuit in the pump system. | High |
| F4 | Hotpoint | Means the pump is running when it should not be, suggesting a water drainage problem or a heater circuit fault. It is usually caused by moisture causing a short circuit in the pump circuit, or a clogged pump filter preventing proper drainage. | High |
| F5 | Hotpoint | Means a drainage problem where the pump is not working or a blockage is preventing water from draining. It is usually caused by a blocked filter, a clogged waste pipe, or a failed pump. | High |
| H20 | Hotpoint | Means a water drainage problem, signalling that the condenser water reservoir is full or that draining has failed. It is usually caused by a blocked drain pump, a blocked filter, debris accumulation, or a malfunctioning sensor. | High |
| F11 | Indesit | Means a pump circuit failure, where water is not being pumped out correctly on condenser or heat pump models. It is usually caused by a blockage in the filter, a faulty water pump, or a communication fault between the control boards. | High |
| F15 | Indesit | Means a dryer heater control fault or a drainage failure on washer-dryers, where the dryer cannot detect the heating element or water is not pumped out correctly. It is usually caused by a failed heating element, broken wires, or a blocked pump. | Medium |

General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your tumble dryer.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains before you start.
A condenser pump eliminates moisture from the garments during the drying process. The moisture in the air condenses into water droplets as it moves through the dryer and comes into touch with a cold surface.
This water is gathered by the condenser pump, which then removes it from the dryer by either pumping it into a detachable container or through a drainage system.
When the water condenser pump malfunctions or loses efficiency in pumping out the condensed water, it often needs to be replaced.
Water pooling or leakage around the pump, strange noises or vibrations emanating from the pump, complete inability to pump water, or a failure to remove water adequately are all indications that you need a new pump.
This water condenser pump fits Hotpoint, Ariston, Creda, Export, Indesit, Proline, and Swan tumble dryers. Use our compatibility checker to see if this part fits your model.
Had the annoying on and off squeal that sounded like a bearing but was intermittent, the pump fixed the issue.
Hotpoint dryer pump failed. Found the replacement easily on the Ransomspares site. Very cheap, very quick delivery. Simple guide online to show how to fit it. Worked a treat. Top class company
This pump was identical to the original fitted by the manufacturer as shown by the design and label applied. It all fitted a treat and worked as hoped. For me so far, there was no need to buy a more expensive item. All in all, brilliant value.
Part was the pump I needed so that was good to be able to match it up correctly to the model of dryer. Same make as one I'd previously fitted. About 15 minutes to fit. Sent via economy post by my choice but arrived on time as suggested. Thanks!
Product is good, delivery prompt and item was easy to fit.
