Tick the symptoms your appliance is showing. We’ll tell you how confident we are this part is the fix.
Error codes are model dependent, so the same brand may have more than one listed.
| Code | Brand | What it means | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| F11 | Ariston | Means the machine cannot detect the condensation pump, preventing water from being drained and often stopping the dryer after a few minutes. It is usually caused by a no pump connection or an open circuit pump fault. | High |
| F5 | Ariston | Means a drainage fault, often caused by lint buildup. It is usually caused by a blocked filter, an obstructed hose, or a malfunctioning drain pump. | High |
| H20 | Ariston | Means the machine cannot empty water from its reservoir, or the sensor detects a full tank when it is empty, causing the unit to stop mid-cycle. It is usually caused by a blocked pump, a dirty condenser unit, or a broken pump impeller. | High |
| F11 | Hotpoint | Means a pump circuit fault, where the pump is disconnected, blocked, or faulty and water is not pumping out. It is usually caused by an open circuit in the pump system. | High |
| F4 | Hotpoint | Means the pump is running when it should not be, suggesting a water drainage problem or a heater circuit fault. It is usually caused by moisture causing a short circuit in the pump circuit, or a clogged pump filter preventing proper drainage. | High |
| F5 | Hotpoint | Means a drainage problem where the pump is not working or a blockage is preventing water from draining. It is usually caused by a blocked filter, a clogged waste pipe, or a failed pump. | High |
| H20 | Hotpoint | Means a water drainage problem, signalling that the condenser water reservoir is full or that draining has failed. It is usually caused by a blocked drain pump, a blocked filter, debris accumulation, or a malfunctioning sensor. | High |
| F11 | Indesit | Means a pump circuit failure, where water is not being pumped out correctly on condenser or heat pump models. It is usually caused by a blockage in the filter, a faulty water pump, or a communication fault between the control boards. | High |
| F15 | Indesit | Means a dryer heater control fault or a drainage failure on washer-dryers, where the dryer cannot detect the heating element or water is not pumped out correctly. It is usually caused by a failed heating element, broken wires, or a blocked pump. | Medium |

General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your tumble dryer.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains before you start.
This is a genuine tumble dryer condenser water pump.
Collect and remove the moisture that has been condensed from the hot air used to dry your clothes. This water is either pumped into a detachable container for easy disposal or directed through a drainage system.
If you notice water pooling around the base of your dryer or in the collection container, it could indicate that the pump isn’t working properly. Change it with this replacement part.
This condenser water pump is from Hotpoint. It also fits Ariston, Creda, Export, Indesit, Proline, and Swan tumble dryers.

part arrived but was different to the one in my machine, however it's the revised part and is a lot better
The fault on the dryer was that the "empty water" light came on after a few minutes from start-up, and the dryer then stopped. There was water in the tank on which the pump sits, and the pump motor was open circuit. It was fiddley to get the old pump off, as well as being concerned that the plastic clips on my old tumble dryer might break. They didn't break and the new pump, although larger overall, fitted easily to its mounting with no issues. It was another fiddle to get the pump and its cover back into their final position.
The condenser pump arrived promptly, was well packaged and was straight forward to fit. I saved a lot of money by not having to call out a service engineer to fit the part. I would recommend this company and would use this service again.
I followed a video on YouTube, it only took me an hour from start to finish. Saving me over £60,by not having to call upon an engineer.
The pump was delivered quickly and was very easy to fit. Top quality genuine Hotpoint spare part.
