General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your tumble dryer.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains and let it cool before you start.
This is a genuine heater element and thermostat set.
The heater warms the air in the dryer to maintain the correct temperature for drying clothes. The thermostat monitors this temperature and interrupts the cycle if it overheats.
When you replace the old heater, the thermostat might be worn out. So this set comes with a new thermostat.
Check out our video below on how to fit a new one.
This heater and thermostat set is from Hoover but also fits other tumble dryer brands like Candy, Creda, Friac, Iberna, Kelvinator, Neufunk, Ostein, Otsein, Rosieres, Teka, and Zerowatt.

Safety Warining - Always unplug from the mains before carrying out any repairs.
I have recently fitted this heater element to my Hoover dryer. It works perfectly. The hard part was having to take the front panel and front fan off just to fit the retaining lug into position. The upside of taking the front panel off was finding why my water full light fault. It had popped out of position.
Your excellent colleague provided confirmation that this was the fault from the symptons I provided. There is a good clip on You Tube as to fitting this part. However I found it helpful to attach a strong length of thread to the nylon fastening plug before removing the old unit . The plug on the replacement can then be readily located and pulled through with pliers.
Ordered on Friday, came to Spain on Wednesday. Perfect replacement for Otsein Hoover VOHC 180. Original branded spare. In Spain original costed up to 90 euros and was discontinued of production; i ordered this one, and I checked that is 100 % compatible, as long as it's a 1200 + 1200 resistance and works perfect in my machine. Save your money using original spares!
