General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your tumble dryer.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains and let it cool before you start.
This is a genuine tumble dryer heater element. It’s at the back of your dryer’s housing. Has 4 wiring harnesses to connect to your dryer’s control system.
The heater element produces the heat circulated in the drying chamber. This heat evaporates moisture from your damp laundry including shirts, towels, and other items inside the dryer.
Check out our DIY video guide below to help you with the replacement process.
This heater element is from Hoover but also fits select models of Candy and Maytag tumble dryers.

Fitted to tumble dryer and working. Fitted to a candy tumble dryer and ideal part easy to fit.
Make sure to check how many wires you need before ordering. I nearly didn't and would have ordered the wrong part!
Good price, quick delivery, item exactly as described, fitted perfectly. The fitting operation takes a little bit of work - not much more that 10 screws in total. But, fitting the cable grip back into the wee hole was messy. I did not want to dismantle the entire unit, so I looped a wee bit of fishing line around the white wire clip and used that to ease the clip into the securing hole. 20 mins and the job was done, back and drying clothes.
Thought the tumble dryer was ready for the tip, but a bit of research and hey presto now back fully functioning thanks to this item from Ransom spares, Great description given on live even to the connections as there as two types fitting was simple. Saved buy a new tumble dryer £40 with postage as opposed to £200 plus for a new dryer.
Ransom spares sent the part I ordered by the delivery method I requested so 10/10. If only Banks, and utility providers were as honest.
