The original filter guard seal had failed allowing lint and fluff into the outer door. The replacement arrived reasonably quickly and well packaged and is a genuine part. The old one has retaining clips, so these need to be compressed with a screw driver after the screws (x2) have been removed, but still needs a good yank to remove it. The replacement is slightly modified and doesn't have the retaining clips so is easy to fit. Overall the job only took 15 minutes. The drier now works fine with no escaping fluff which makes keeping it clean much easier. I hope this door seal lasts as long as the original as its not a cheap part.

Rubber seal on door locking guard had started to split and break away. Mind you, have had dryer for 15 years. Replacement part easy to fit by using the 2 screws from old guard. New guard doesn't have the openings for clips to make it more secure but that doesn't appear to make it a problem.

This is a direct replacement for the worn out Guard. The previous one lasted 15 years, used multiple times daily, so it has done well :) The rubber surround wears and eventually disintegrates allowing the hot air to escape into the wrong section of the dryer. Fitting is just two screws to remove the old (plus some clips that need pressing in with a flat blade screwdriver), new one then clips into place and re-use the same screws from the old one. Seal is now like new again and drying time has been reduced. It's an original part so lets hope the new lasts as long as the old one.
