part came really quick. looks as good quality as the old belt (original since at least 2007). certainly worth the price. that was the easy bit. the belt is for an old parnall easy dry, and fitting it was tricky because the sides and top are all one piece and provide the rigidity, so without it on, the insides wobbled about. i put the belt on from the front of the drum got it into place around the spindle and over the tension wheel. then built it back up. took about 3 hrs start to finish. would recommend you have a spare pair of hands to help keep it stable etc... tested it with a couple of pairs of jeans, seems no different to before.

Bought this and fitted it to our very old tumble dryer. The belt was as easy to fit as any belt would be but as I am not experienced in fitting these it took me longer than it should have. It has been in service for some time now and is working well.

Our old Creda tumble dryer became noisy. I opened it up based on a guide found on the internet for a later model and found the belt was badly worn. On trying to find replacement parts we found the machine was no longer made. After searching the internet finally raised a query with Ransom who came back with a replacement part number. On comparing the part after removing the old one it appeared pretty much identical to the original. Having already dismantled the dryer once for inspection the part was easy to fit when it arrived. The dryer is now up and working again. Thanks for the help!

The drum had stopped turning on our dryer. You could still hear the motor turning so I felt sure the belt had failed. Sure enough after a slightly lengthy disassembley I found the belt was laying in the bottom broken. I say the disassembley was slightly lengthy because although it’s not a difficult job there’s just so many screws that have to be removed before you can get inside. One important thing to add is don’t forget the screw which is hidden behind the dial. The dial on ours was a real pain to remove. In the end some water pump style grips and a tea towel did the trick. There’s tutorials on YouTube if you need more guidance but it’s not too bad a job, just a little fiddly that’s all.
