30 seconds work!
Easiest repair ever. One screw only. 30 seconds and it’s done. You wonder how many tumble dryers have been scrapped because this part has broken.

Hoover Tumble Dryer door part
I carried out a lot of research for this part (a tumble dryer door latch) and found a few basic but similar designs available. I wanted an original Hoover part, but these varied in price by considerable amounts, but there were a lot of cheaper versions available on a well known auction site, that were sold as "genuine". In the end I went for Ransom Spares, because I have purchased there before and found them to be a very good supplier. It was received very quickly and enclosed in a sealed plastic bag with the Hoover logo on it. It was fitted very easily, with just one simple screw. Be aware though, generally, that the when the original part broke, it left the lock in the closed position. This is easily resolved by resetting the internal part. There is a good video on You Tube, which demonstrates this simple fix.
