What does a belt for a dryer do?
The dryer's motor turns on and begins to rotate when you turn it on. The belt acts as a link between the motor pulley and the drum pulley by being wrapped around both of them.
The drum spins as a result of the motor's rotational energy being transferred to the drum through the belt.
How can I tell if the belt in my tumble dryer is deteriorating?
A malfunctioning belt may be the cause of any screeching or squealing sounds it makes while running, excessive vibrations, or a drum that spins unevenly or not at all.
Wear and tear indicators like fraying, cracking, or stretching, can be identified visually. If any of these are present, replace the belt to get your tumble dryer back to working properly.

Great replacement part
I bought this as part of a larger order to breath life back into an extremely well used Candy Dryer. The only challenge with the fitting is, as you might expect, the work involved in dismantling the dryer to get the drum out and replace this particular part. Since the repairs, the dryer has been working as if I only bought it yesterday!
