This is a genuine glass window for your tumble dryer door.
Lets you see inside the dryer while it’s running, so you can check your clothes without stopping the cycle. It also keeps hot air contained, preventing burns and helping your dryer work efficiently.
Cracks or chips in the glass are a safety hazard and could cause bigger problems. If the glass gets foggy or discolored over time and you can’t see inside clearly, it's best to change it with this replacement part.
This door glass window is from Bosch.

Like another reviewer has already said similarly, our hinge failure means a whole new door - a somewhat disappointing and disproportionally large item/cost for what *should* be a simpler, and cheaper, fix. That said, we managed to figure out how the decorative silver ring should be removed from the front; without too much force (or instructions we could find anywhere on the web). Hopefully for the benefit of others reading this... with the door face down on a surface, use a large 1-2cm flat bladed item and insert at the very bottom of the door between the decorative silver ring and the white door itself. Push it all the way in and this will allow a tab on the door to pass over a blocking tab on the ring when rotated. Then, with the flat blade in place, attempt to turn the decorative silver ring anti-clockwise (when viewed from the back of the door). Ours wouldn't move by hand so I had to tap the ring around by using another tool rested against one of the flat edges of the ring where the hinge is, to turn it.
Frustratingly the latch on the Bosch heat pump dryer door broke and so we had to replace the door. The product fit the bill and the service from Ransoms was efficient and quick. The biggest issue I have is the wasteful nature of the manufacture as the whole door needed replacing which is not sustainable. The fitting instructions were non existent and so it was figuring out how to get the surround and glass off the old unit. I managed with some improvisation and brut force so poor design on Bosch’s part but that is the manufacturing problem.
