The heater element produces the heat circulated in the drying chamber. This heat evaporates moisture from your damp laundry including shirts, towels, and other items inside the dryer.
If the heating element isn't working properly, the dryer will still spin and complete the cycle, but it won't get hot enough to help dry the clothes. Change it with this replacement part.
