Having tracked down a new motor via Ransom spares I purchased the item which arrived within a few days. Removal was straightforward but do remember that the heater elements are next to the motor fan and care must be taken during there removal. The new motor and electrics are identical and easy to fit. The only issue I came up against was that the mount for the fan blade was not threaded. I had to utilise three nut and bolts instead which can be fiddly but not impossible as you can only fit them when the motor is in place. Overall it is easy to replace and the dryer now works quietly.
