Heats the drying air and uses the thermostats to hold it at a safe temperature.
Tick the symptoms your appliance is showing. We’ll tell you how confident we are this part is the fix.
Error codes are model dependent, so the same brand may have more than one listed.
| Code | Brand | What it means | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| E60 | AEG | Means a heating fault, where the dryer takes too long to heat up or is not heating at all. It is usually caused by poor airflow from dirty filters or condensers, a tripped thermal cut out, or a faulty heating element. | High |
| EH0 | AEG | Means a power supply fault preventing the machine from starting. It is usually caused by voltage problems, a poor connection, or a faulty control board. | Medium |
| E14 | Electrolux | Means there is a heating fault or a failure in the moisture sensing system, and on commercial gas dryers a gas ignition failure. It is usually caused by faulty sensor wiring, a broken heating element, or a malfunctioning control board. | High |
| E61 | Electrolux | Means the dryer is not reaching the proper temperature within a set time. It is usually caused by a faulty heater relay on the main control board, insufficient heating, or a broken heating element. | High |
| E63 | Electrolux | Means the dryer has detected low or no heat from a heater open circuit, a tripped high-limit thermostat, or a ground fault in the heating element. It is usually caused by one of these heating circuit faults. | High |
| E64 | Electrolux | Means there is a heating system problem that lets the dryer get hot but shut down after a few minutes. It is usually caused by the lint screen, heating element, moisture sensor, or restricted airflow. | High |
| E66 | Electrolux | Means there is a heating circuit fault, most commonly a tripped thermal limiter (thermal fuse) due to overheating. It is usually caused by clogged vents, lint buildup, or a faulty heating element. | High |
| EA2 | Electrolux | Means the dryer is detecting an incoming line voltage that is too high, exceeding 130 volts AC. It is usually caused by an over-voltage condition in the power supply. | Medium |
| EA3 | Electrolux | Means the control board has detected incoming power below 90 VAC and interrupts the drying cycle. It is usually caused by a power supply problem such as incorrect or unstable voltage or interference, or a faulty electronic control board. | Medium |
| EH0 | Electrolux | Means the dryer is not receiving adequate or stable power. It is usually caused by a temporary glitch, a faulty socket, or a damaged power module or mainboard. | Medium |
| EH2 | Electrolux | Means the supply voltage is too high for the appliance, often above 130 VAC or exceeding 240V depending on the model. It is usually caused by this high voltage, which can make the motor or control board fail. | Medium |
| EH3 | Electrolux | Means the supply voltage is too low, part of the EH0 series of unstable or incorrect voltage faults. It is usually caused by a power supply problem rather than a mechanical failure. | Medium |
| E51 | Zanussi | Means a motor control circuit fault, specifically a short-circuited motor triac on the electronic control board, leaving the motor unable to start. It is usually caused by a faulty PCB, motor wiring issues, or a damaged motor. | High |
| E60 | Zanussi | Means a general heating fault, with the dryer not heating up, taking too long to dry, or leaving the clothes wet. It is usually caused by poor airflow from blocked filters, a tripped thermal safety thermostat, or a faulty heating element. | High |
| E64 | Zanussi | Means a fault with the heater thermostat. It is usually caused by a faulty heater unit, faulty wiring, an NTC sensor that is miscalibrated or out of position, or a faulty electronic board. | High |

General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your tumble dryer.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains and let it cool before you start.
These are genuine tumble dryer heater elements powered at 700 and 1900W. It’s at the back of your dryer’s housing. With 4 wiring harnesses each to connect to your dryer’s control system.
The heater element produces the heat circulated in the drying chamber. This heat evaporates moisture from your damp laundry including shirts, towels, and other items inside the dryer.
If the heating element isn't working properly, the dryer will still spin and the cycle will complete, but it won't get hot enough to help dry the clothes. Change it with this replacement part.
These heater elements are from AEG but also fit select models of Electrolux, Frigidaire, John Lewis, Professional, and Zanussi tumble dryers.
Before ordering, please verify that this part is suitable for your model using our compatibility checker.

quality part as described, easy for me to fit and fixed problem, fully recommend this partials excellent service for ransom spares and quick delivery
Not much to say about a tumble dryer heating element other than it looks to be OEM/OEM quality and worked perfectly. More relevant is I have used Ransom Spares for appliance spares in the past and come back again as cannot fault the service and lightning delivery times.
Great replacement, just a little common sense required to route the wires. Tumble dryer saved and has been working for our large family throughout the winter. 10/10.
Simple part to fit, resolved the issue I was having with my tumble dryer at a reasonable cost.
