Strimmer restored!
I found the website easy to navigate and being able to view the exact model spec parts catalogue enabled me to identify what I needed. By purchasing this part and fitting it myself I saved my strimmer (otherwise bound for an auction site for 99p no doubt) for £17 and avoided paying £150 for a new one - amazing. Simple fix
Nearly took my strimmer to a dealer for repair. Just outside of the manufacturers warranty :-) . Pleased I found this site and the part for a common problem. Very easy to replace the old one with the new part.

Comman part for replacement
The McCullock Trimmer Bridge has two plastic lugs that catch on the fly-wheel to start the motor. These can (and do!) easily break over time. Fortunately, the replacement part is readily available and realtively straight-forward to fit. You would think that they might make these plastic lugs a little more durable?

McCulloch trimmer
The part bought was for a one year old McCulloch garden trimmer. The original part was not fit for purpose and needless to say the replacement part will no doubt only last a year. Disposable society or what !! We're all doomed !

Nice fit & easy to install
Nice fit and relatively easy to install, but will always be sort of a weak spot for the machine as I have to replace it again after the starting cord snapped and got stuck in between the bridge and the starting spool.

is there an upgrade for this bridge as the original is not fit for purpose.
