Karcher Steam Cleaner Plug socket EFH5.512-040.0

I have a Karcher SC2.600C with the steam iron accessory - the repeated insertion and removal of the steam iron plug resulted in the steam socket being pushed out the back of the plug socket on the steamer - after 2+ years of use the plug socket (this part) was worn. I tried reinserting the steam socket but it only lasted a week. Four torx screws to remove the top of the steamer and then the most difficult part was removing the old plug socket - cut with side snips was the easy way! I tried to bend back the plug socket lugs but that did not work. The refit was really easy - just pushed the power and steam sockets into the back of the connector - take a picture before removal as the spring and flap is not so obvious on refit but easy when you have a picture. Putting the lid back on watch out for the power lead as it tends to easily come out of its location groove - you will know as the lid will not fit back on! This part has fixed the issue and not expensive - All happy now!

Exactly similar to original, no problem at all during installation.
