After the mower got stuck and i was unable to release the wheel, it was time for a new wheel motor assembly. This time, no clearing or grass or hair entangled would free the wheel. The wheel motor assembly includes the gearbox and wiring. On my robot mower, the output shaft (hollow) from the gear box had split and the bearings had fallen to pieces. Your going to need torx drivers to dismantle the robot until you can get the new motor fitted. Use WD-40 on the 4 screws that attach the upper body to the lower. These screws go into the rubber buffers that give to top body the float. I guess too much torque could damage these rubbers, so care and pre-soaking (5 ~10mins if the screws dont come away with gentle turning) with WD-40 advised. The wiring loom attaches deep inside the unit, onto a circuit board, so that top internal covers need to come off. Its not as easy as sliding the new motor in and making the connection. There is a fair bit if careful disassembly to do to get to the correct place. Label all the screws as they come out, there were different sizes of screw and different styles (some go into nuts, others are self tapping into the plastic). You also have to cut through the Husky warranty sticker as you open the inner top cover. Also take care with the water proof gasket, making sure it is 360' sealed. It took about 1 ~ 2 hours all in the first time, as i was being careful. Might be shorter 2nd time around!
