What’s the function of your lawn mower’s cutting discs?

The cutting discs are circular blades or rotating discs attached to the mower's cutting deck. As the lawn mower moves across the lawn, the cutting discs spin rapidly and slice through the grass blades to achieve an even and uniform cut. 

The cutting discs work in conjunction with the drive assembly and motor to efficiently trim the grass to the desired height.

When do you replace them?
