I had to fit this part as the original tension wheel melted due to frictional heating. The part itself is robust and well made, but you might want to check the clearance of the deck belt from the upright bar that serves as a guide. It is worth polishing the face of the guide that faces the belt and checking the clearance from the drive belt. This was the second tension wheel failure I have had in my 2012 Rider 13C The main issue I discovered was that the belt guide on the drive pulley rubbed against the drive belt and the belt and guide gets very hot which accelerates belt wear and melts the tension pulley. A bit of modification (bending) can cure this but it is a faff. I polished the potential rubbing area and checked clearance, there is not much but if you are careful you can create sufficient space to avoid frictional heating caused by the belt rubbing on the guide adjacent to the tension wheel. You have to be adept at working against gravity to fit this part from underneath; you can turn the mower on its side, but be careful, it is a very heavy mower!
