Great value, easy and quick to fit

I fitted this product to my 5 year old Neff oven in minutes very easily, great value, saved a fortune on genuine part and engineer fitting.

Good Product and Easy to Install

Bought this to replace faulty original (10 years old). Simple to fit from inside the oven approx 8 screws in total to remove and refit. 10 minutes and cooker working like new.

Easy to fit - even when cables get lost!

Ordered for NEFF 1661 built-in oven. Very easy to fit - have done this twice before. But this time when I removed the rear plate inside the oven I discovered that some of the wires had disappeared into the back of the unit. This is (relatively) easily remedied by removing the oven from its housing (tip: position a workmate or similar portable workbench at the front of the housing, adjust the height and slide the oven out onto it), removing the back plate (lots of screws) and looking for the wires. In this oven for the fan element, there are two double cables (each with a spade connector) and a single cable with one connector coming down from the rear of the control unit. The double pair go to one side of the element, one cable on each connector; the single cable goes to the other side, leaving a spare connector on that side. Total time including working out the connections and careful testing was somewhere between 60 and 90 minutes.

Oven works again

This is the second heating element I've bought from Ransom. Last one lasted 3 years which wasn't quite as long as I'd expected but as the product is cheap I don't really mind. Bought the cheap one again this time - could have gone for the more expensive option but no guarantee that it would last longer anyway. If this one doesn't last longer I'll probably try the paying a bit more next time. Easy to fit too - only took 10 minutes or so

After finding out the cost of an engineers visit to replace the element in my Siemens double oven would be about £80 I decided to have a go myself. I ordered the part one day and it arrived the next.Very easy to replace, although one of the brackets holding it in place was slightly out of line but apart from that it was quite a simple job. Very impressed with the speed of service, cost of item was very reasonable indeed and the whole job cost under £20 - what a saving!!

totally agree with ransoms 'repair', not 'throw away' policy. after having a few of the typical 'ooohs' and 'aaaghs' from service engineers, ransoms supplied the correct part, at fantastic value, and 30mins fitting time, our Neff fan oven is working perfectly again. superb service from a fantastic company. will definately be recommending. :)

Very Straight Forward

The part arrived promptly. Fitting was as simple as demonstrated in the Ransom video. The only thing to beware of is that my Neff oven is fitted with "anti-tamper" star headed screws. You just need a set of the appropriate keys.
