Cost effective compatible product.
Goods arrived swiftly and as per description. Time will only tell whether a compatible product is good as an OEM. Called up to get advise before purchase, not that helpful. The installation video proved somewhat helpful except that the model was not the same and I ended up taking instruction from another YouTube video which was excellent and explained how to install the trim without removing the front.

Simple Saving
I purchased a door seal for a Bosch washing machine. Delivery took a couple of days to Ireland but once I received the seal installation was simple, primarily as a result of an excellent youtube video (created by a rival spare part supplier!) The returns policy, if needed, seems fair and I will look to Ransom for parts in the future. My only gripe would be the cost and lead time for delivery to Ireland. Often these parts are urgently needed. Ultimately I was delighted to save 65 euro (the call out charge of my local repair guy) by spending 45 minutes doing the job myself.

Compatible Bosch Washing Machine Door Seal
My faithful Bosch washing machine is now 12 years old, and has worked faultlessly during its hardworking life. However, the old door seal developed a leak recently and I wasn't prepared to spend a large sum of money on a genuine Bosch replacement. The replacement compatible door seal from Ransom Spares met my competitively priced criteria, and matched exactly the old door seal. Replacement of the seal was a bit tricky and one tip is that you do need a long torx screwdriver bit to access and remove some of the torx screws in the fascia at the top of the machine. If you haven't got a long torx screwdriver bit you won't be able to remove some of the screws!!! All in all a good purchase, and I thoroughly recommend Ransom Spares who delivered the door seal very promptly.

Bosch Washing Machine sorted
I brought a replacement door seal for my 7 year old Bosch Exxcel 1400 S Express after watching the video and reading the reviews. I used standard mail and the seal arrived 2 days later. By this time I had found that I could do the whole operation by just removing the front panel, so was just waiting for the part. Within 15 minutes of unwrapping the seal, we were up and running. I didn't even need to remove the counterweight, just a few screws to take the front panel off. Brilliant video, brilliant service and although I can't tell about longevity, the product feels just as good as the original, if not slightly better. Save a fortune and do it yourself. You might find it cheaper elsewhere, but this is a quality product and I don't think other sites have the video, that alone is worth a bit of support.

Perfect!
Delighted both with the quality of the seal, and how very easy it was to replace (especially with the super-helpful video!) Thank you to for dispatching it so quickly in the Christmas holiday period - we were also delighted with how quickly it arrived. We could not be happier - and hope to have years more use out of our machine thanks to this part.

DIY Success
A few tools required, look on 'U TUBE' to find hints and hidden screws.If you are at all handy you can save a lot of cash with this item. Working well now for a few weeks, no reason to think it wont last the machine out.

Great product, no different to the original
I've always been sceptical about 'compatable' products and have often favoured paying more for the real thing. However, this product felt and looked just like the real seal I was replacing and fitted perfectly.

Seems like good value
My washing machine is already eight years old so I didn't think it was economical to spend 40 odd quid on a genuine door seal and plumped for this pattern copy instead at under 20 delivered. I can't compare it to a genuine one so held back 1 star on the quality. It took me about an hour to fit but that was doing it really slowly and methodically and following a guide on you tube, it was very straightforward and could be done by anyone with a bit of common sense. My only tip would be to mark all the different screws on a sheet of paper as you remove them so you know what goes back where, other than that you need a bit of muscle power to lift the counterweight and stretch a couple of springs but nothing too taxing. It beats paying 150 quid to call someone out to do it, sorry to all the washing machine repair men. I've got no leaks so far and it seems to be working fine, nice to be able to repair something without major expense for once. Recommended.
