This is a great product, and though it is expensive, I found that Ransomspares was the best value supplier for this part. In terms of quality, I compared the burnt out one that I removed from my Hotpoint microwave / combi-oven and found it is identical in every way (it is the first time I've replaced the element from new). So in that regard I am happy that this part will be as good as the original. I can't say the element was easy to fit - but that is in no way a criticism of the part, which, once you get down to it, is two spade connectors and a couple of screws. It is more an issue with the Hotpoint microwave oven which requires you to remove a ridiculous number of machine screws, several wires, sharp sheet metal etc to get the combi oven assembly detached far enough to replace the actual element. If you know what you are doing (being extremely careful in the case of microwave combi ovens due to the high-voltage caps etc) and are patient then this job is well worth doing. Although I wish there was a generic part that would be cheaper than this one; at least I know that my repair element should last at least as long as the original that came with my oven, because it was made in the same factory, judging by the markings stamped on its base!
