Tick the symptoms your appliance is showing. We’ll tell you how confident we are this part is the fix.
Error codes are model dependent, so the same brand may have more than one listed.
| Code | Brand | What it means | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| E305 | Neff | Means there is a heating failure, a sensor fault, or a communication issue between components, with the appliance running briefly then stopping. It is usually caused by a faulty magnetron or control board. | High |
| E7 | Neff | Means there is a failure in the heating system that prevents the microwave from heating and usually shuts it down after a few seconds. It is usually caused by a faulty magnetron, inverter board, or a door switch issue. | High |

General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your microwave.
Safety: Use a qualified engineer for this fitting. The magnetron and capacitor hold a lethal charge even when unplugged.
Replacement microwave generator got an expensive Siemens combi oven back up and running again for very reasonable price. Fitting it took a bit of figuring out because of a lot of plastic covers inside the Siemens oven which had to be removed but once through them, the actual fitment of the part was very straight forwards. One issue was the quality of the packaging. The microwave generator is a heavy component but it was packaged unprotected in a cardboard box with some crumpled brown paper around it. The weight of the part meant it just crushed the paper and moved a lot in the box, bending the power pins and one of the mounting points. It wasn't anything that couldn't be easily fixed by bending then straight, but it should have been better packaged.
