Original part design is weak but easy to fit.
It’s surprising for a built in microwave to fail after only 10 years. All it is though, is that this plastic fan blade fits over a D shaped cross section metal spindle. Over time the plastic on the fan blade wears and the fan travels ever closer to the drive motor where it encounters fixtures causing awful sound. I replaced the part and expect it to fail again in 10 years time! Fitting is easy. Simply push fits on. Have to take cover off of course so will have to remove from kitchen cabinet. Be aware of possible charged capacitor. There’s a warning label inside the machine for this. I changed the bulb as well to an LED type. Again easy to do.
