This is a genuine safety flap for your lawn mower. With a rod in the middle to fit in the hinge.
Keeps debris, like rocks or sticks, from flying out from under the mower and hitting your feet. It acts as a guard to deflect anything that could cause injury while you’re mowing.
If grass clippings are flying everywhere or if debris hits your legs, that could mean the flap isn’t functioning. Change it with this replacement part.

Great Product, straightforward to fit.
My Flymo electric mower is 8 years old, and the part number is no longer quoted by Flymo Spares Department. However, the Safety Flap from Ransom Spares is almost identical to the part fitted to my machine, needing only minimal shortening of both arms, to enable the Safety Flap to be lifted to allow the mower box to be lifted into position.

Perfect replacement
Having damaged the original part many years ago I had left it a long time to replace it. Much searching online proved useless and I nearly gave up when I found it here. I had previously ordered this part from your company (around 18 months+ ago) and was happy with it until I damaged it whilst moving my lawnmower out of my car. However I’d forgotten the name/part number and had misplaced the Paperwork so couldn’t accurately make my order. Fortunately I spotted your contact system and one of your staff was able to trace and inform me of the part number - I duly ordered it and it arrived within the time stipulated.
