Flymo blade
The manual for the Flymo XL550 states that the blade should be replaced after 50 hours use. As I had been using my machine to mow half an acre over a period of ten years I decided that perhaps I had better follow its advice. I was surprised that the new blade was quite blunt and certainly not as sharp as the old one but it seems to cut okay. I assume that Flymo must know what they are doing. With hindsight I should have just sharpened the old one!
