Easy replacement
The shaft was about 1/4 inch shorter than the original which I took off, but it still fitted well and was up and running again in 15 or 20 minutes. The price is a bit steep for a thin steel rod with a bend at one end and a thread at the other but Ransom's prices are as good as anyone else.

The threads have worn down on the blade locking mechanism on my Husqvarna 325 HE4 Hedge Cutter, which appears to be a common issue from past reviews I have read. Although replacement of this shaft part looks fairly straightforward, does anyone have any knowledge of service manuals/videos which are available online providing guidance for replacing this part?
