Love the look of my Whirlpool with its curve doors and didn’t want to just buy a new fridge, so replace a few items including the control board, fridge is back up and working just like it always had done.

This is a genuine Whirlpool part at a very competitive price. It was relatively easy to fit and fixed the problems I'd been having with the icemaker in my fridge-freezer. I've used Ransom Spares a few times in the past and have always found their prices to be reasonable and their parts to be genuine. It's also great that you can search specifically for parts based on manufacturer and even the model number of your appliance.

My Whirlpool wouldn't defrost. Checked on youtube "how to's" and changed the thermostat and the heater element as these are stated to be to most likely causes but to no avail. (Please note the resistance on a good element seems to be approximately 85 ohms and not 200 to 300 as stated on some sites.) Anyway ordered the control pcb, swapped over and all is well. My only negative was that I ordered @15.30 for next day delivery and the pcb did not arrive until 48 hours after. Apparently you need to order before 15.00 for next day. (In which case they should not take next day deliveries after 15.00)
