My fridge door does not close properly, my next door neighbour suggest that it due to the seal, and that it is because the magnet within the seal is not functioning. Is this true?

Hi John, thanks for your question. It is possible the magnet in the seal has gone, meaning the fridge won't seal properly. Another alternative is the springs in the hinge have loosened slightly over time, so they don't snap as tight as they used to. To be sure, I'd recommend contacting an engineer who can test the parts.
