To use this replacement seal it is first necessary to cut the old seal out of the door with a sharp Stanley knife all the way round and discard the rubber that gets released. This will expose a narrow channel in the door into which the new seal has to be forcibly pressed. There is a moulded projection on the new seal which, when forced into the door channel, will hold the new seal in place but the process is tricky and not for the faint hearted. The finished installation did not look as neat as the original seal did. Instructions were poor.
