Good replacement, some fiddling

Ordered this because Neff K9625 fridge/freezer was freezing vegetables even when turned right down to warmest setting (knob at 1). New part from Ransome was made by Danfoss, rather than the 17-year-old Ranco original - they look quite different, but new one fits OK. After a real struggle to see how to remove the plastic cover in the fridge compartment, it was easy to swap out and fit. Note carefully which wires connect to which terminal numbers! After re-assembling, fridge/freezer was left to settle for several hours, but even at setting 5 wouldn't go less than about 8 degC - faulty new part? No - solution was to remove stat again, but coil about 1.5 inches of capillary tube next to the stat inside the plastic housing, so that a shorter length went inside the fridge. All seems well so far, now fine-tuning temperatures at 1-5 degC with knob at 3.
