Freezer bracket fitted easily and solved the problem

My son’s a little heavy handed. Annoyance quickly turned to searching for a replacement part. New part located, purchased and fitted job done. I was very pleased to locate the part. Reasonably priced and excellent service. Would thoroughly recommend Ransom Spares.

I bought a couple of these to fix the existing ones that had broken. From a design perspective there is certainly a weak point where it tapers in the middle, but that is more about the original design. I was a little unsure how to remove the existing part and fix the new one without breaking it, but this became apparent when the new one arrived. The existing one simply need to slid out, ensuring that the recess lug at the front was raised. Raising the lug caused it to break but that didn't matter of course. The new one just slid in and the lug clipped into place. Had to put the door onto the part before sliding it in though I think, which was easy enough, but don't give it a test run first in case it clips in and then you break the lug getting it out. Perfect replacement part.

Cheap and easier way to fix damaged freezer door than trying to stick it together
