Bosch Fridge & Freezer Freezer Door Seal00236211

The freezer seal on our old Bosch Fridge/Freezer was no longer making contact and the freezer section was icing up and losing temperature. Ordered a replacement from Ransom. Extremely simple to fit, excellent quality, and works perfectly. Firm believer in 'fix if possible'.

When first fitted, the seal did not hold the fridge door closed well even after following the instructions. I left the fridge closed for a couple of hours and when I next came to open it, the seal was as strong as it was when I bought the fridge (15 years ago). My advice is follow the instructions then leave the door closed for a few hours I bought this to buy us a bit of time whilst we decided how we wanted to re-model the kitchen. It has certainly done that and breathed life into a White Good that, by rights, should have been confied to scrap long ago. Great service.

I was a white goods engineer for many years working with all brands including Bosch, Meiele. This seal was for my own Bosch freezer. They are very easy to fit onto the door 1-2 minutes but getting the seal to give a good airtight seal is another matter. The use of a hair dryer and Patience is needed and it took me about an hour to get it sealing ok. An original seal from Bosch it now works fine.

Seal arrives quite compressed - presumably how it comes from the factory, doesn't seem to be anything to do with the packaging. Instructions that come with the seal tell you to use a hair dryer to soften it and pull it into shape. Make sure you do and it fits fine otherwise the freezer door won't close securely.
