Description

How does a thermostat module work for refrigerators?

A thermostat module in refrigerators monitors and regulates the temperature inside the appliance. It consists of a sensor that detects the temperature and a control unit that adjusts the cooling system based on the desired temperature setting.

When the temperature rises above the set point, the thermostat module signals the cooling system to activate, causing the compressor to start and cool the refrigerator and vice versa.

Why do you need to replace them?

The thermostat module can develop issues like sensor failure, faulty control unit, or electrical problems. A malfunctioning thermostat module may result in temperature fluctuations, inadequate cooling, or the refrigerator not reaching the desired temperature.

This can lead to food spoilage, decreased efficiency, and damage to the compressor or other components.

Is this part the whole thermostat or does the thermostat connect to this part. My fridge won't stop running and its freezing all my food. My Beko fridge freezer is the CDA539FS-2 Aclass from free model. Any help would be appreciated thankyou.
By Mark - Morecambe - 25/09/2020
Hi Mark, this board will tell the main control board what temperature to set based on the resistance of the sensors. If it's a sensor you need, please submit a part enquiry including the product code beginning with 7 from behind the salad drawer so we can look for this part.

Hi, My fridge freezer is misbehaving, it's either freezing the fridge contents, or fridge contents are not cold enough. I would like to replace the thermostat, to see if this solves the problem, but I can't find an exact compatibility match to the model. I have a Lec under counter fridge freezer, Model No T5029W, serial no 10800289444449313. It's quite old but in perfect condition, so I would like to keep it going. Would this thermostat be the correct one for my model ? Thanks, Anne.
