I was slightly concerned that the old seal had to be cut way from the freezer door instead of the part being a like-for-like replacement - any problems and the fridge / freezer is wrecked. However, I removed the freezer door to make the job easier and the old flexible part of the seal comes away easily with a sharp Stanley blade. I also trimmed the internal flashing from the corners of the plasic profile channel on the freezer door. This made it easier to press the new seal into the plastic profile channel at the corners.

The freezer door seal arrived very quickly, well packed and in perfect condition. (great service from Ransomes). Fitting this seal requires the original seal to be carefully cut away from the door and the new one is then pushed in to the remains of the old seal. Use a sharp new blade in whatever knife you use and trim any bits that are left carefully before starting to fit the new seal. As usual a small amount of washing up liquid smeared on what is left of the old seal helps the new seal to settle in more easily. Once fitted the new seal makes a superb seal, much better than the old one even when it was new. Great product even if a little expensive.
