Fixed my faulty Indesit Dishwasher
Genuine Indesit part at an amazing price of £8.10. Why spend more? This replaced my faulty dishwasher door lock where the spring had physically broken, possibly due to age. Really easy to fit. Unplug the dishwasher. Open the door and remove the long screws holding the kitchen panel door. Set the door panel aside. Remove the short screws holding the front fascia. Peel back the silver tape to expose two hidden screws holding the faulty door lock in position. Fit the new door lock and reposition the tape. Move the wires. Plug it in and test! Restored my dishwaser to fully functioning again.

The door on my dishwasher doesnt close. It just bangs against the metal catch. Does this mean a fault with the door lock ?

Hi, this could be an issue with the door lock or the handle. I would recommend contacting an engineer to see if they are able to confirm the part required.
