The switch is fine and while the machine it was being fitted to, this seems to be a fairly commonly used component so just not seeing the machine on the list should not dishearten. If it looks right, it may well be. To access for replacement, after making sure the machine is isolated from the electricity supply, remove the screws fixing the door front to the frame. These are on the inside of the door and extend to the top and both sides. Once these are off, you can gently rotate the bottom of the door front out and unhook from the top. The electrical stuff is behind a plastic cover which has two finger unhooking clips in the middle and one either side needing a twisted flat screwdriver. With the cover off, easy to see how to replace the broken switch. YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL BUTTON, NOW. Squeeze in the tabs. Otherwise you won't get it back together. Refit the cover, listening for the clips to engage and making sure the top is snug. It won't be if you try to do it without removing the knob. Now refit the knob. REMOVE THE 'SKIRT UNDER THE DOOR. It clips in and out and you need it out to refit the door front. Refit door front and then the skirt. Job done and time for a cup of tea. 15 - 20 minutes, without my learning curve.
