General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your dishwasher.
Safety: Switch off at the mains and turn off the water supply before you start.
Was sceptical at first as a dishwasher engineer had said that he had never heard of this part and he would have to dismantle most of the machine. I fitted this part from inside the machine by removing a couple of parts and following the directions included. Quick and easy and dishwasher is back up and running.
Apparently a leaking sump gasket is a not uncommon problem and the repair kit is provided by the manufacturer as a retro-fix was available from Ransom Spare. We acquired a 10yr old machine after moving into a new property which was left by the previous owner and the one before them. It had several faults and Ransom Spares provided parts to fix all of them including the sump gasket repair kit. The parts arrived promptly. Slightly fiddly to insert but with care it can be done by anyone with minimal technical skills (like me). Dishwasher working perfectly and I hope will do so for another 10 years.
Hi, is this a genuine Bosch manufactured part? Thanks.
Hi Peter, I can confirm this is a genuine Bosch spare.
Hi Could you tell me how this differs from part no. RS892204?
Hi Gary, these are different sizes for different models.
