Tick the symptoms your appliance is showing. We’ll tell you how confident we are this part is the fix.
Error codes are model dependent, so the same brand may have more than one listed.
| Code | Brand | What it means | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| E15 | Bosch | Means water has accumulated in the base tray and triggered the anti-flood safety switch, with the pump running continuously. It is usually caused by excess suds, a blocked filter, or a leaky seal. | Medium |
| E1 | Neff | Means there is a water heating failure or a drain or leak issue that has triggered the flood protection system, with water detected in the base. It is usually caused by water in the base pan, a failure to heat water, or the door not latching. | Medium |
| E15 | Neff | Means water has leaked into the base tray and triggered the anti flood safety switch, leaving the pump running continuously. It is usually caused by a failed sump seal, loose hoses, or a false alarm from suds. | High |

General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your dishwasher.
Safety: Switch off at the mains and turn off the water supply before you start.
This is a high quality complete repair kit for maintaining your dishwasher’s filtration system. The sump is the part that collects food debris during wash cycles. A good working sump means a smooth dishwashing cycle. The kit features a new seal to decrease the chances of leaks and water damage to the surrounding areas. The full kit includes a replacement seal, wire and screws to fit your dishwasher's filter. This sump and seal repair kit is manufactured by Bosch.
This kit is also functional with other dishwasher brands such as Balay, Blaupunkt, Constructa, Gaggenau, Gorenje, Ikea, Junker, Kuppersbusch, Neff, Siemens, and Viva.
Before ordering, please verify that this kit works for your model using our compatibility checker.
I found this seal easy to fit on my Siemens Dishwasher, providing you follow the instructions. Beware that the edge of the metal plate, where the seal is pushed under, is very sharp as I cut my finger on it. This sharp edge can also damage the seal. Easy method is to use the rounded end of a spoon handle to push the seal under it, the seal springs into place then.
Neff dishwasher had a leak around drain sump producing an E15 error code. This sump seal fixed the leak, relatively easy to fit from inside the dishwasher. Mine didn’t come with instructions but there are videos online to show how to install the seal. Good value as the same part on the Neff site is about £30.
The dishwasher now works leak free with no E15 error appearing on control panel. Only gave 3 stars for ease of fitting but as other reviewers have said it is a fiddly repair but not because of the replacement part.
Good part and my dishwasher is now working again with no leaks. The only negative issue is the fitting instructions. The item comes with a sheet with basic written instructions that are, what seems to be, a poor translation into English. The instruction leaflet on the part listing looks to have images, there are no images/diagrams on the actual instruction sheet, it would be so easy to add some pictures. Thankfully I found a demonstration video online before I bought this item so I knew how to fit. The video was in German language but very easy to understand the fitting process without verbal instruction. Perhaps there is a copyright problem with this compatible part. That part itself is good.
The instruction page did not resemble the image shown online. The instruction page shown online looked the same as the one shown on the Bosch site. However, the one supplied did not have any pictures and it was not easy to follow. I found a video online that helped. Also, the edges of the stainless panel are very, very sharp - so be careful. DO NOT remove the original seal, the new one is a slightly smaller diameter and sits on the base just inside the original. Once fitted I used a light/torch and mirror to check that the new seal was correctly positioned and sitting against the original and not sticking up over the top. Carefully check the position all the way around. Once fitted correctly the leak has stopped.
