Description
How does the interlock on your dishwasher door work?
The interlock mechanism detects the position of the door through a switch or sensor. When the door is closed and latched, the switch or sensor signals to the dishwasher's control system that it is safe to proceed with the selected cycle. If the door is not fully closed or latched, the switch or sensor will prevent the dishwasher from starting or continuing its operation.
When should you replace your door interlock?
The interlock may be damaged or worn out if you notice that the door of your washing machine won't latch shut or lock firmly. If the machine won't start or abruptly stops mid-cycle, the door interlock might be the reason.

Replacement dishwasher catch
Dishwasher catch was starting to play up making it difficult to open and close at times. Ordered a replacement and arrived quickly. Simple swap as only held in with one screw. It took longer pulling the dishwasher out from under the surface than fitting the new item. Once installed I have a very satisfying 'click' once again when closing and opening the door. Thanks

Dishwasher door wouldn't stay closed so ordered a new catch. It arrived very quickly and is a good quality item. Took about 5 minutes to change it and now all working properly.

Excellent. The only reason for for a drop in star rating is the design of the manufactures machine fixing which is ridiculously weak and not designed for refixing therefore required some modification to fix in place

Hi the door latch on our old Bosch dishwasher has broken and I am looking for a replacement. As far as I can see the number is SMI2011 GB/13. 0730-303-618 there are a few other numbers as well FD7401 001289 Typ 5r 288 I know our machine is pretty old already. Many thanks Ronnie McCracken
