Good spares adapted to fit into a broken machine!
I didn’t think I’d be able to repair this, but the spring and rope had a more heavy duty fixing (metal rather than plastic) so was a lot more robust than the original fitting. When fitting them, the other side broke so I got another set!

Simple fix
A simple fix for the dishwasher door falling open. The part search worked especially well, which made it easy to locate the correct part. Access to the part is easy. A bit of attention is needed when mounting it. The easiest way is to compare with the other side if it isn't broken.

Works perfectly
Using this part and RS70134 it was possible (although hard work) to replace the broken rope & spring assembly on our Siemens SN66M054GB. When the string snapped the force of the spring recoil broke part of the plastic housing, but the new spring part fits into the gap perfectly.
