General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your cooker.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains before you start.
Roller catch locks secure oven doors in a closed position. They consist of a roller catch attached to the door frame and a strike plate mounted on the oven door itself. When the door is closed, the roller catch slides into the strike plate and creates a secure latch.
The roller catch has a spring-loaded mechanism that allows it to retract when the door handle is pulled, releasing the latch and enabling the door to open.
Signs of a faulty roller catch lock include difficulty in closing or securing the oven door, the door not staying closed, or excessive play in the latch mechanism. If the roller catch is visibly damaged or shows signs of worn-out rollers or a weakened spring, replace it.
This door roller catch lock is a Zanussi oven replacement part. It also fits Acec, AEG, Alfatec, Alno, Ariston, Arthur Martin, Atlas, Cannon, Castor, Corbero, Creda, Domoline, Electra, Electrolux, Elektra, Elektro Helios, Elektron, English Electric, Export, FAR, Faure, Firenzi, Frigidaire, Hotpoint, Hugin, Husqvarna, Husqvarna Electrolux, Ikea, Indesit, Jackson, John Lewis, Juno, King, Marijnen, Moffat, Nestor Martin, Novamatic, Parkinson Cowan, Progress, Rex, Rosenlew, Silentic, Therma, Tricity Bendix, UPO, Voss, Wrighton, Zanker, and Zoppas cookers and hobs. The sellers site containing detailed parts descriptions and exploded views was of great help and ease of finding the correct part and part number for my specific white goods product brand name was very helpful. Delivery was faster than expected especially during a Christmas delivery time slot, but as forecast it arrived on-time. Very pleased with the new part that's fitted and the quality of the component and it's function is first class. Thank you for a professional service. Highly recommended.
Prompt delivery, removed and dismantled oven door, fitted replacement catch and re-fitted door within an hour. Never used to have to replace cooker parts at one time. Things lasted "forever". Probably giving my age away here, however it's how things are manufactured these days, however, Ransomspares were a pleasure to deal with and unreservedly recommend.
Very happy with finding a door roller catch lock for Cannon Catterick Cannon G60GCIW on Ransom https://www.ransomspares.co.uk The price, the quality, the prompt delivery I recommend 100% I will use again very happy ;-》
How do you replace the door catch on the main oven door of a Cannon Chichester 10675G ?
Hi James, I'm afraid we cannot offer fitting advice. I'd recommend contacting an engineer to see if they can help.
Hi how do I take the old part of and fit it please
Hi Amanda, I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to give instructions on how to fit this. I'd recommend checking out our repair advice centre, or contacting an engineer for more information.
We have a Cannon C50GCIS/1 oven - roller latch has broken inside . Took the screws off and heared the latch falling inside the metal compartment. But the screw lengths are small and wondering whether that is the root cause issue , with minimal securing to the latch to keep it from coming loose and moving around. Can you confirm if the above latch is suitable and whether one can use longer screws than the current ones? Do the latches need specific screws or do the screws make the new thread ?
Hi Keith. The screws for this part are self-tapping screws and this is also the correct roller catch for your model. You may need these screws RS160697 and washers RS143105 to secure the roller catch in place.
