Smeg cooker and hob top grill element, placed at the top of the inside of your oven. It provides heat, helping to brown foods, toast of melt. When the grill is turned on it will glow red with piping hot heat, grilling your food thoroughly from above. The grill element is useful and can be used for grilling meats and crisping pasta bakes or pizzas. You should replace your grill element when it is damaged, doesn’t heat up properly, food doesn’t cook properly or there are unusual smells coming from the grill.

Very good product
This element was cheaper than any other spares suppliers, delivery was very quick and the element was a perfect match for the old one. To replace, simply ensure the power supply is isolated, remove the back cover off the oven, carefully remove the electrical spade connections (noting which colour cable goes where), remove the 2 small nuts securing the element and gently remove the old element through the front of the oven. Installation of the new element is the exact reverse of the procedure above. I have used Ransom Spares in the past and their price, delivery and quality has always been the best and I would definitely recommend for all your appliance spares

Slight tweak to fit
Followed the RansomSpares vid and it was mostly easy - apart from having an angled brace rather than the straight one of the previous element, so the clips holding it up didn’t seem to be in the right place. A quick google revealed it’s just an updated model, and the clips at the top of the oven can simply be rotated slightly. All good, and working fine.
