Thank you Ransom everything you said on the tin with this product
Have used Ransom Spares twice now. A pleasure to deal with and quality parts supplied each time. Great advice and service. Thank You!
Authentic Smeg part delivered quickly. You can buy a different brand's heat element for a Smeg oven but I am more than happy paying more for this.
It did the trick. It heats as quickly as the original. Easy to fit.
The drawing was a cause of great confusion. Admittedly I did not pay much attention to the drawing when I first ordered the part because I assumed it was the only replacement element for the SMEG cooker. Later in the evening I reviewed the Ransom site again and noticed that there was another element available with three coils. Exactly like the one I needed to replace, although not with studs. I ordered that as well, just incase, only to find next day, having paid for next day delivery, that the original order was correct. I cancelled the second order without any problems receiving a full refund. The part I had ordered and received had three coils NOT two as shown in the diagram. I suggest this diagram should be amended to avoid confusion to other potential customers.
Hi there - my old element is marked up as 2700W whilst this is 2600W. Is this the same as with light bulbs i.e - you take out a 60W bulb and replace with a 40W the only difference is it's slightly dimmer? So, long and short will the 2600W be okay as a direct replacement for the 2700W elelent?
Hi Stuart. Yes, this small difference in Wattage will be fine to use. As long as this element is listed for your model it will work fine.
