How does the oven door seal function?
When the oven door is shut, the door seal creates an impenetrable barrier. It is made of silicone or rubber which withstands heat and preserves the insulation of the oven.
How can I identify a damaged oven door seal?
Visually inspect for signs of wear such as fractures, tears, or fraying. If you notice heat escaping from the oven door or experience temperature fluctuations during cooking, it may indicate a broken seal.

Good quality, easy to fit
Needed a replacement door seal for our Bosch oven. Previously I'd used a genuine Bosch spare part. But this one from Ransom Spares was much cheaper. I'm not sure if the one from Ransom Spares is genuine Bosch or not, but it certainly looks, feels and works exactly the same. It came quickly, was well packaged, and easy to fit. Recommended on all counts!
