How does a circular heating element work for your oven?
When you turn on your oven, electrical current flows through the circular heating element. The element is typically made of a high-resistance wire, which converts the electrical energy into heat energy through resistance.
As the current passes through the wire, it encounters resistance, causing the wire to heat up. The heat is radiated into the oven cavity, raising the temperature for baking or cooking.
Why does it need replacing?
The circular heating element in your oven can wear out over time due to the constant heating and cooling cycles it experiences. This can make the wire inside the element weak, brittle, or damaged, which affects its ability to generate and distribute heat effectively.
Accidental impacts or mishandling during cleaning or cooking can cause physical damage to the element, like cracks or breaks, impacting its performance. The intense heat produced by the element can also lead to burnout over time, especially if exposed to high temperatures or sudden electrical surges.
A burnt-out element may no longer generate heat or may create hot spots, resulting in unevenly cooked or baked food. So, if you notice issues like uneven heating or visible damage to the element, it's likely time to consider replacing it for optimal cooking results.

Perfect
Item was fitted with ease and works just as well as the one it replaced. Packaging could have been better though. No padding/ bubble wrap so one of the connector terminals was bent in transit. Working OK though. 👍

Quality item, easy to fit
Ordered this part to repair my daughter-inlaws' oven when it stopped working at Christmas. Unfortunately there was a delay in delivery owing to mix up on the order/delivery systems, but once alerted to the delay, the company quickly secured another delivery. The part was easy to fit and working perfectly.

Great product and fast delivery!
Order arrived quickly and well packaged. The item was an original spare part that would have cost 31£ on the brand website. Good value for money and was easy to replace . I have replaced the element myself after watching one of the YouTube videos posted by Ransom. Very helpful and informative.

Correct Part, East to Fit.
Watched the ransom spares video on fitting a cooker element and decided to give it a go. Emailed them my relevant details (Idesit IFW6330WHUK) and quick response to identify part. Part ordered Monday afternoon and arrived Thursday afternoon standard delivery. I'm no DIY person, but all I had to do is unscrew for scews, remove cover, unscrew another 2 screws to remove element. Hardest part was removing the spade connectors, but their video noted to use long nosed pliers if they were difficult to remove. That hint worked a treat. Very quick to put it all back together. So great service and great video.
