Fitting NEFF Induction Glass Top

Following the accidental breakage of the ceramic glass top for our expensive NEFF induction job, I assumed we would have to buy a complete new job, but following some research I realised that NEFF could supply just the glass top at a fraction of the price. I looked around the internet and discovered Ransom Spares, who could supply the part at lower cost from stock. I placed my order and the part was shipped straight away, arriving just a few days later. The hob was easy to de-install, and the glass top was held on with a few screws on all four sides. I transferred a small blob of thermal compound from the old glass (4 positions) where the heat sensors are located in the centre of each induction coil, fitted the new top and re-installed the hob. This turned out to be a very straightforward and economical repair, helped in no small part by the easy availability of the new top through Ransom Spares.
