Why do ovens have an inner door glass?
The inner door glass serves as a strong barrier between the outside world and the oven compartment. It helps in keeping the oven at the right temperature.
With the transparent window, you can see what's inside the oven without opening the door and lose less heat. The inner door glass keeps the exterior of the oven door cold to the touch, lowering the chance of burns.
When do you replace your inner door glass?
If your inner door glass is broken, cracked, or otherwise compromised in a way that jeopardises your safety or the oven’s functionality, replace it. Problems with the seal or insulation surrounding the glass cause heat leakage or inefficiency.

Great service and fast delivery.
It was easy to fit the part once the door was off. I've taken oven doors off before and this was a bit more complex due to being a slide mechanism. Part ordered around midnight Thursday and was delivered Saturday morning after paying for next day👍👍. This was excellent, except that the email and tracking details showed delivery for Monday, however this is more DPD's problem than Ransom's. I ended up removing all the old broken glass from the aluminium base panel and putting it back on, as it held a clip in place needed to put the door back in situ awaiting the glass. The label with model number etc is in a stupid place necessitating the removal of the door to make sure you were ordering the right part!! Fine if the door is the problem, but checking for another part ( shelf/bulb/knob ) would be more problematic than it warranted. Again this is not within Ransom's remit but Neff's.

Genuine replacement
Very impressed with both product and company. Product was identical to original item. Fitting was very straightforward. Item delivered with couple of days and that was just days before Christmas!
