Description
This is a genuine oven door seal. Made of rubber so it’s heat resistant. It’s an airtight barrier between the oven door and its interior.
When you bake or cook, the oven reaches high temperatures and the door seal then acts as an airtight barrier. No heat escapes and it preserves cooking temperatures and enhances energy efficiency.
If you sense temperature variations while cooking or feel heat leaking from around the oven door, get a new seal.

Good product but very expensive
This is the gasket which fits round the glass in the oven door, not the seal that the door closes on to. Easy to fit if you take your time, it has replaced the original which had stretched and the oven now seems to hold it heat a lot better. But what a price for a simple length of silicone!

This seal went on very easily, as always preparation is key. Make sure surfaces are clean and then fit the seal. Good time to clean the glass before refitting.

My Indesit oven is Model FID20BK/1 and the seal in the bottom oven seems to have stretched over time and keeps falling out. Is this the correct seal? It is four sided with angled corners

Hi. This seal for FIMD23BK, part RS185439, appears to be the seal to go with the glass panel . Correct? It should be triangular in section and about 1.35m long. It does not have any clips as the two fittings on the glass retain it. Correct? My one just keeps dropping out and needing refitting after every use.
